The last orchestra concert of the year for Sam and Evelyn was the Spring "Pops" Concert
The first half of the concert was the Junior High. Sam was in the Advanced Orchestra
Dance of the Tumblers
Solaris
Where Falcons Fly
(I messed up when recording this one so it is missing the beginning of the song - sorry!)
Terrestrial Fire - Sam got to be part of the percussion group for this one
Celtic Force
Next was the High School portion of the concert. They performed their songs with all 3 orchestras combined, along with the wind symphony and the advanced percussion group!
We had a family outing to see A Minecraft Movie. It was very bonkers, but a lot of fun.
Afterward we ate at Tsunami, which was a lot of fun because they have so many amazing GF sushi options
Ratties cuddling in their little house
Ready to come out and play
Coco Bean still loves to jump and climb up on people
It finally got warm enough to start bringing Dorie to Sunday dinner again, and she loved playing with Fritz
Sam and I went cello shopping, and after a couple hours of trying out a whole bunch of different cellos and bows, we found a winner!
I thought his old cello sounded good, but this one sounds amazing!
Window kitten
The Easter decor, including the Easter tree (there is also a secret Oliver in the photo)
Tree with white lights
Tree with one of the pastel color modes
Cherry blossom week on our street - my favorite time of year
Mike made this video
Sunset blossoms
The part of the week where it is raining petals - Mike made this video while on his bike
For Ev's birthday dinner, she chose to try out a new local pizza place that is able to do a whole bunch of GF flavors
Oliver (aka Tubby) has learned that it is fun to hang out on Sam's desk
Oliver knows this package is for him (he needs special prescription food)
We are still doing visiting hours for Oliver to get him and Juno more used to being around each other. This time it got a little awkward
Oliver's dream scenario - hanging out with Evelyn
He is not loving forced nap time
Spring shedding season
Ratties impatiently waiting while their main cage is being cleaned
Enjoying a little donut
Exploring during free-roam time
Coco loves grooming her humans
The crabapple trees bloom a little later, and have really pretty darker pink blossoms
Our book for book club this month was Austenland. We watched the movie the Sunday night before. One of the discussion topics was "would you like to go visit Austenland if it was a real place?" I think I might be ok visiting for a day or two, but I'm not sure I could handle a few weeks like Jane does in the book (visitors have to dress in period accurate clothing, not use any modern electronic devices, participate in period accurate activities - which for women included a lot of embroidery and sitting around, use period appropriate manners, etc.) The movie has been one of my favorites since it came out, and it was fun to read the book it was based on because you get a lot more of Jane's inner thoughts and backstory.
My mom made this cute display table for our meeting
