The past few days we have ventured out on a couple of family outings. Thursday we went to look at double strollers, and after looking extensively at every model and comparing our internet research, we bought one. Today we got to give the new stroller a spin when we went to Thanksgiving Point with some friends. At Farm Country, they were having the "baby animal birthday" and we were able to see lots of baby animals. We also got to eat some cake. Yum! Nora liked the pigs the best.

Big Sister Nora
Nora is a very cute big sister to Evie. She asks to hold her (although just for a few seconds), and gives her hugs and kisses. She also peeks into the bassinet to check on her.
Nora takes very good care of her babies and monkeys. She feeds them, burps them (complete with sound effects), gives them pacifiers, puts them to bed, and carries them all over the house.

Beth's Photo Shoots
My sister, Beth, came to visit us in the hospital on the day that Evie was born, and she brought her camera and took these pictures, as well as many other cute ones. It was hard to decide which ones to post.

On Sunday, we had a family dinner at my parents' house, and Bethany was kind enough to take some family pictures of us. Nora is a very active little girl, and in between takes, she would run around the room and we resorted to bribing her with treats. Bethany was very patient, and I think she got some really great shots.

Evelyn is Here!
Yay! Evie is here! We are so excited!
A little bit after midnight, I started having some pretty painful contractions, and I woke Mike up and told him that I thought I was in labor. We timed the contractions for a little while, then called Bethany and Reece, who very kindly came and stayed with Nora while we went to the hospital. We got to the hospital at about 2:15, and I was checked and admitted. By then, the contractions were getting pretty close together and very intense. I was very relieved when I was finally able to get the epidural! Little Evie was born at 6:31 am, weighing 7 lbs 7 oz, and measuring 20 inches. The delivery went well, and both Evelyn and I are doing fine. Nora came to visit, and she was excited to see the baby, but more even more excited about the fruit snacks that she found in the hospital bag. Hehe. She was also very excited to point out that Evelyn was wearing a Winnie the Pooh diaper. Nora loves Pooh. We love our sweet baby girl, and are so grateful that she is part of our family.

Waiting...
My due date is April 9th, so less than a week away! This very last part of pregnancy can be so frustrating, but also exciting waiting for something to happen. Hopefully we will get to meet our little baby girl soon!
