Hollywood Studios and the Trip Home

On our last day, we spent the morning in Disney's Hollywood Studios

The girls and I went on Rockin' Rollercoaster.

Next, we went on Tower of Terror. Nora still gets a little nervous for this one.

Family picture in front of the giant sorcerer Mickey hat (apparently Evie and Sam didn't want to get too close to the rest of us)

Next was Toy Story Midway Mania. The queue area is so awesome!

We finished up by riding Star Tours, then grabbing a bite of lunch

We went back to the hotel and got our luggage, and waited for the bus to the airport. They had some fun games for the kids to play while we waited.

When we were boarding our flight, they asked if the kids wanted to come see the cockpit. They showed the kids what some of the buttons do, and told them about what tests they do to the airplane before takeoff. They thought this was really awesome

We had a fantastic time on our trip. It is always a bit hard to come back to real life, but we did enjoy seeing li'l woof and the meowsers when we got back.

Epcot - The World Showcase

We spent the afternoon and evening exploring the World Showcase. This summer, the kids and I learned about 11 countries, which are the 11 countries represented in Epcot. I thought this part of the trip would be more fun for the kids if they had already learned a bit about the countries, and had some things there they would recognize. I also bought each of the kids a world showcase "passport", which had two pages in it for each country, where they could get it stamped and signed, and also had a page of stickers with pictures from each pavilion that they could put in the passports to make a cute little keepsake. I remember doing this when I went with my family as a child, and I thought my kids would like it too, which they did!

In every country's pavilion, they had a "Kidcot Stop" where they had a cast member who would stamp and sign their passport with a little message written in the language from that country.

We were getting pretty hungry, so we stopped by the German Pavilion for some frankfurters, then continued on.

Norway Pavilion

Inside the replica stave church, they had an exhibit about how elements of Norwegian culture that inspired and were incorporated into the movie "Frozen"

After visiting all the country pavilions, it was time for our dinner reservation at Akershus, in the Norway Pavilion. This restaurant is modeled after Akershus castle in Oslo.

Dinner here is a Princess character meal. We were greeted by Belle when we came in.

The kids participated in the Princess parade throughout the restaurant
