Hooray for Sunny Days!

It's been so nice to have some warmer days where the girls can go play outside! I am really looking forward to spring! It is always funny to see what kinds of things they come up with when they play.

Here they are "talking" to each other
Here is a belly picture of me at 29.5 weeks. Little baby Sam loves to move around a lot.

Night Night, Brina

It was almost nap time, and Nora decided that Sabrina needed to take a nap too, so she got her a little toy kitty and a blanket and tucked her in. Sabrina was a little confused, but stayed there like that for a few minutes.

Our Trip to Wonderland

Beth, Reece and their friends had an Alice in Wonderland themed birthday party for one of their friends. Beth did a really great job decorating, and after the birthday party was over, she wanted us to come and see it, so she had a little tea party a few days later.

Here is Nora all dressed up and waiting to go down the rabbit hole
She saw Dubie in the window
Beth dressed up like the white rabbit, and the kids followed her down the rabbit hole
The rabbit hole was at the bottom of the stairs, and was an area closed off by black curtains
Inside was decorated will all sorts of things, and lit with black lights. The girls thought this was very cool and kept running back in there.
The tea party was in the kitchen downstairs
Each place setting had a cookie that said "eat me" and a little drink that said "drink me"

Nora loves cookies!

Beth had made lots of cute little tea sandwiches, and we also had little quiches, fruit and "baby oysters" (madelines). The girls were very excited to have their own teapot full of juice, and kept asking us to fill their teacups.

Nora trying on the rabbit mask in the "garden room"
For a craft activity, we made roses out of ribbon.

Later on, Nora and Audrey decided to dress up as rabbits

At the end of the party, we watched some parts from the Disney animated "Alice in Wonderland". None of the kids had seen it before. Evie was mesmerized. Hehe.
Aunt "B" really knows how to throw a fun party. Thanks for having us over!

Fun in the Sun

Last week we took a little vacation to California with Mike's parents, Paul and Marolynn to go to Disneyland. It was fun for them to see how it had changed since they hadn't been there for a while, and it was their first time going to California Adventure.

The girls always wanted to be holding a Disneyland map

Evie loves to color
Our dinner at Cafe Orleans

We were there on the day that they reopened the Captain EO 3D show. It is a Michael Jackson movie that was made for the Disney parks in the 80s, and now they are bringing it back for a limited time. We were able to go see it on opening night. It was really fun to see it again. I was pretty young the last time I saw it.

Taking a ride in Mickey's Fun Wheel (ferris wheel)

Evie was really funny this trip. She doesn't quite understand the concept of taking turns on the rides. She loves it when she gets to ride, but then when it is over she thinks that she can just walk over to another carousel horse/teacup/etc. and ride again, and gets very upset when I pick her up and carry her to the ride exit!

Holding hands with Pluto
We took a trip to Pixie Hollow, and got to meet Silver Mist again.
Nora was excited to see Tinkerbell

Nora intently studying her map while in line at the Princess Faire
At the Princess Faire you wait in line, and then get to meet three princesses. You don't get to know which ones you get to meet until it is your turn to go in.

Nora's favorite this time was Cinderella

Next we saw Snow White. Evie was so funny. We put her down, and she went running full speed and we thought she was running to Snow White, but she ran past her to the backdrop. The whole time Evie just wanted to climb and play on the backdrop. Hehehe.
We did manage to hold Evie for a second while we got a picture, but she wasn't cooperating very well. That must be why Snow White was making a funny face.
Last we got to meet Sleeping Beauty. Evie refused to look at the camera and instead wanted to check out the backdrop again. What a funny kid.
This is a sea serpent topiary by "It's a Small World" that I thought was cool
The Carousel was the most requested ride this trip, and the girls rode it many times.

Evie "eating" her morning omelette. She insisted on doing it herself and would not let anyone help her.
Awwww! Baby ducks.
The girls also loved going on the Teacups. Nora would always say "Go faster! Go faster!"
We met Minnie when we visited Toontown. Poor little Evie has a red nose in this picture because she tried to run up to Minnie, but we picked her up and held her until it was our turn, and she lost it.
Minnie's house is the girls' favorite house to explore

There were some gorgeous pink pointsettias outside of Minnie's house

Happy little Evie just wanted to chill in this chair

Nora got a kick out of driving the toontown cars.
The flowers at Disneyland were just amazing. In the hub they had hyacinths around the Partners statue, pink and white tulips in the other beds, and a beautiful flowering tree.
Making some wishes at Snow White's wishing well
Another crazy ride in the teacups!
We took a ride in the monorail, and were able to ride in the back compartment with the huge window.
