Easter

We had a nice little Easter Sunday at home

Everyone was a good sport and dressed up for my family picture, taken by my phone with the timer mode

Nora made and decorated some really cute cupcakes for our dinner

Our dinner - Ham, funeral potatoes, rolls, and broccoli

After dinner, we had the egg hunt in the backyard. Mike hid all the eggs, and some of them were in pretty tricky places

Dorie was excited when one egg accidentally opened and she got to eat the jellybeans that fell out onto the ground

Spring Blossoms

Spring is my favorite time of year. I love to see all the flowers and blossoming trees after the bleakness of winter. This year I have been especially grateful for the emotional uplift they bring.

Every year during the spring, I am sad that we don't have any bulb flowers in our yard and plan on putting them in in the fall, every fall I completely forget - so the flower pictures are from our neighbors that are more on top of their gardening game, haha

Dorie has been loving all these spring walks!

Evelyn's Birthday

Evie turned 12 this week! For her birthday, we let her pick her favorite place to get takeout for dinner, and she picked JCW's.

Her ministering friend brought by a little vase of flowers for her

Sam made her a special card

Sam and Nora made her a birthday poster with drawings of her favorite things on it

After dinner, she picked Jack Box games for a family activity

She also really, really wanted to help put the candy in the Easter eggs, so we did that while watching some episodes of the New Ducktales.
We love our sweet, wonderful, awesome Ev!
