Here are the pictures we took to make the poster for the party.
(We cheated a little bit with the pets because there was no way that I had time to make 4 little costumes, and there is no way the pets would have posed in them, so they got the Photoshop treatment. Because of that even little angel Sader-Puff got to be in it)
For the kids' combined family birthday party this year, we picked a Doctor Who theme
Some accessories by the door for anyone who wanted to add a little flair to their outfit, hehe
The decorations
These are some catchphrases from the different doctors
The kids, Mike, the pets, and I did a little photo shoot to make this poster, where someone dressed up as each of the Doctors
Mike decided to put a little extra detail on these rolos to make them look more fez-like
The sweets stand
Evie and Nora helped me with the cake. We did a three-tone cream cheese frosting with edible glitter and star sprinkles, topped by a toy TARDIS
It was pretty warm, so the frosting got a little melty, but it was pretty fun!
The menu:
Lady Cassandra Lasagna
Stupid, Old Satsumas
Always Take a Banana to a Party
"Bow Ties are Cool" Pasta salad with farfalle pasta
Fish Fingers and Custard - we had one bowl of tartar sauce for a more normal experience, and a bowl of vanilla pudding for those who wanted a more "authentic 11th Doctor experience" - haha
Dr. (Who) Pepper - they just came out with a new flavor of Dr. Pepper called dark berry that comes in a blue can, that we were excited to try out. Nora also picked out Red Cream Soda for those who were not Dr. Pepper fans.
Water (not from Mars)!
Nora dressed as the 11th Doctor, Evie as the 2nd Doctor, and Sam as the 9th Doctor for the party
Dorie getting attention and LOVING it
Cute little Monty 💓
Opening presents
Little helper V
V being a puppy
We watched the kids' Doctor Who skits that we made over fall break:
Then the kids wanted to play a couple rounds of "Split the Room"
Singing and cake time! (Evie put on her 2nd Doctor wig - that's why she has short black hair)
