Disneyland - Part 2

On Friday, the kids and I all wore our Star Wars t-shirts.

We registered the kids for Jedi Training, and then we went to the "Star Wars Launch Bay" and got in line to meet one of our very favorite characters...Chewbacca! He greeted everyone with a big hug - even the grown ups.

The kids were too scared to wait in line to meet Kylo Ren, haha.

The rest of the Launch Bay was full of cool exhibits about Star Wars characters, ships, vehicles, etc.

There was also a store selling some pretty cool stuff - including life-size statues of stormtroopers and Boba Fett.

Evie by some of the autographed character pictures for sale

Riding Star Tours again - the kids and I just couldn't get enough of it!

Evie and Sam signed up to do the Jedi Training show, and they looked so cute in their robes!

Getting all the kids suited up

We passed this stroller parking on our way to the stage...hehe

The new Jedi students receiving some instruction

They all got a light saber, and learned some different moves

Then each child got a chance to do the battle sequence they learned on either Darth Vader, or the Seventh Sister, an inquisitor of the Galactic Empire.

Learning to use the force, and overcome their fears

The brave new Jedi at the end of the show

Oh, Sam!

Heading out to some more rides

Disneyland always has such pretty flowers - I particularly liked these.

Mike and kids in front of the castle - and looking into the bright sun

The castle was decorated with diamond swags and sparkles

Mike got a personal best score on Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters

We had made reservations for a special dinner at the Blue Bayou. Sam sure knows how to relax in the waiting area

I love all the wisteria

We watched the new nighttime parade - "Paint the Night"

Saturday we spent mostly in California Adventure.
I loved the giant diamond decorations!

Getting ready for some Toy Story

We were paused playing the holding game for a long time...

and finally we had to be evacuated from the ride when they couldn't get the problem fixed

It was kind of cool to get to walk through a ride

These brave souls braved the Grizzly Rapids on this chilly morning. I opted to sit and wait for them and check my Facebook instead.

Fun in Cars Land

Sam was Mike's little buddy for getting fast passes - he would collect the fast pass tickets as they came out of the machine

We had lunch on the Wharf

We took a little nap break at the hotel, and then headed back to Disneyland for the evening

We had dinner at the Pizza Port. The little BB-8 sipper cups you could get there were just too cute! (yes, I got one too, hehe)

BB-8 photobomb

Mike and I got another Darth by Chocolate. Yum!

We left early Sunday morning to drive back home to try and beat the snowstorm that was coming into Southern and Central Utah

It was raining when we left Anaheim, and later we saw this awesome rainbow out the window!

Most of the drive home was pretty good, but we did hit some stormy patches. When we got home and got out of the car, this is what the side of the car looked like.

Oh man, I am so homesick for Disneyland and California already, but what a great trip!
