The Kids' Animal Crossing Birthday Party

For their combined family party this year, the kids had an Animal Crossing themed birthday.

We replicated the birthday sign from the game, and Juno found a new favorite hiding place

We decorated the table with balloon presents, DIY bottles, character plushies, and icons from the game

On the mantle, and above the sliding door we hung a banner of villagers and characters from the game

Nora made this cute banner for the TV cabinet which is a replica of the one in the game

It was so much fun to be able to invite guests again this year!! We had a picnic-inspired menu

Monty loved watching the fridge water dispenser

My mom and Beth had wrapped some presents in white, with a red bow and balloon to look like the ones in the game 💗

With added V

Monty had fun with the balloons

I ordered the cake from Cravings by Alisha, and it was a gorgeous bubblegum-inspired masterpiece!

Bubblegum KK is one of the kids' favorite songs from the game

April Misc.

Here are a few more pictures from April:

As I was going through the photos of this month, I noticed that there were an especially high number of pictures of Juno

We did a big yard cleanup

Japan snack box

This was gum shaped like French fries, hmmmm

Juno hanging out in her bed in the office

Max giving it a try

Juno likes to walk on the bannisters, and it freaks me out a little bit. None of our other cats have ever done this.

Desk buddy Dorie

Juno tried out the cat stroller for a walk, since we have had some nice warm days. We did a very short walk first - just to the mailbox and back, to make sure she wouldn't be freaked out by it.

Then we did a little neighborhood walk. Juno seemed to be very interested in everything. She would start meowing if we stopped moving.

Couch loaf

There was a pretty blossoming tree with a family of birds living in it outside the window at the Allergist's office

Hanging out in an Easter basket

Juno's shenanigans while Nora and I were working on online school assignments - she climbed all over the cubbies in the desk hutch

On Evie's birthday, she got to pick out a place to get dinner, and a place to get a treat. She picked JcW's, and Cravings Cupcakes.

For her birthday activity, she wanted to watch funny videos on YouTube

I have teletherapy on Thursdays, and I have to kick the kitty boys out of the room so they don't sit on my laptop, walk over my keyboard, etc. This is what they look like pouting in the family room about it. Haha!

We did a little Animal Crossing Prom. Bob and Ankha were crowned prom king and queen!

I love blossoming tree season!

Juno loves hanging out in her stroller at home. Here she is watching TV from the stroller

Oliver making sure I don't forget about his night-night treats

Having fun and relaxing on Sunday evenings

The cherry trees blossoming on our street, through all the various spring weather

We watched Kiki's Delivery Service with Juno so she could see her celebrity doppelganger, Jiji.

I was able to get my second dose of the covid vaccine on April 14th. Woo hoo!
(Evie totally made fun of me when she saw me taking this picture - "oh, we have an instagram model in the family now..." lol)

Juno watching little bugs and creatures in this video game

We have been continuing watching Studio Ghibli movies, and we got to one that I hadn't seen before - The Cat Returns. This one is so weird, and I just loved it. Haha!

Juno rolling around on the ground being silly during the movie.

I love this picture of Max - especially his little front paws

Another Studio Ghibli we watched was Ponyo. Evie was a little weirded out by this one, but I thought it was pretty cute.

V loves playing the switch with Nora on Sundays

My Mom, Kate and Beth tried dyeing eggs naturally this year - the blue ones were done with red cabbage and the red ones were done with onion skins. They turned out so pretty!

Mike finally did the Christmas Tree left handed challenge, so we were able to take a picture and move on to the next one, hehehe

Dorie loves Nora so much

Little One on her pillow

We watched Ocean's Eleven for a family movie night

A few more blossoms

We have had lots of great weather for walks

Little Juno keeping watch over her kingdom

Little One loves getting chin scratches

Evie is not a huge fan of pink anymore, so we have been working on doing a makeover for her room. She decided that she would like to have white walls in her room, with a dark blue accent wall.

We did a paint sample on her wall to make sure she liked the shade of blue

Juno was wondering why all the furniture had been moved to the middle of the room

We started out by painting the white

The next day, we taped off the edges for the blue, and painted the accent wall

We are still working on some other things in her room, but when it is done, I'll post an updated picture of the result!

My cute little kitty boys

Another Oliver nap

My Mom and V made an adorable little woodland themed house for the "Calico Critters" V got in her Easter basket.
