A few more pictures from August:
Sades just loves to cuddle. Anytime someone sits down, she is immediately there jumping up on their lap.
Max has a new thing he's been doing. When Mike and I go to bed, Max curls up at the foot of the bed. During some point during the night, he moves up and every morning I wake up and he is on my pillow cuddling with my head. Mike wakes up before I do, and took some pictures. Hehe. He is a weird cat, but he is very loving
We went on LOTS of walks in August. It was fun to go on family walks and play Pokemon Go together, and Dorie liked going on all the walks too!

We saw lots of pretty sunsets. Long summer days are the best
During the break between when the summer term ended and Education Week started, we went to BYU a few times. Pretty much the only other people we saw there were kids skateboarding, and other people playing Pokemon Go. Hehe. It was kind of fun to walk around the campus and see how much has changed in the last 10 years.
One evening when Nora was practicing her violin, she said Dorie had to sit on the chair and listen to her. Dorie was a good sport.
We made a couple of trips with the kids to the Humane Society to visit the animals. The kids just love giving attention and love to the cats.
They have an area called "Rodent Ranch" with hamsters, guinea pigs, rats and mice. We got a kick out of this cute mural on the wall. Hehe.
Dorie's best friend, Oswald, lives next door to my parents. He has been coming over for play dates on Sundays after Sunday dinner. Dorie loves it! It is good because they both have a lot of energy, and they wear each other out
Vienne was interested in the balls the dogs were playing with
I found Sam and Dorie watching TV together one evening. Sam said "She is my best frenemy". Oh boy, hehe. They are pretty cute buddies when Sam isn't mad at her for stealing his snacks.
When my parents were at Education Week, we all met up in Orem one night and went to dinner. After dinner, the kids wanted to go play by the giant PF Chang horses. I thought these pictures of Sam and V were really cute
I had the kids take a shower and wash their hair one night in preparation to get haircuts the next day. Sam decided to take things into his own hands, and gave himself a haircut later that night when I thought he was asleep. When I woke him up, I discovered this:
Later, I found the evidence he had hidden
He didn't get out of getting his haircut, and now they had to go super short to try and even it out.
Sam loved his short buzz cut! I wonder if he'll ask for this every time now.
They had a little "selfie spot" with photo props at the salon, so of course the kids wanted to take some silly pictures.
Hale Theater put on an amazing production of "Beauty and the Beast". The girls were able to come with us this time to see it, and we all thought it was fabulous!
There was a giant ring made of oversized silk roses, and chandeliers hanging above the stage
The girls by some more rose decor in the lobby
Mike found a new show that he thought I'd like to watch, and recorded the episodes on the DVR. It is called "The Vet Life", and we've been enjoying it. Sades likes to watch, too. Hehe.
Getting a picture with Dorie on National Dog Day
Another visit to the Humane Society
At the Humane Society, they had made this cute version of the loading screen for Pokemon Go and had it hanging up - they added a dog to the picture
More fun with Oswald!
He is sure adorable
Sam is a pretty creative sleeper - I'm never quite sure what I am going to find in the morning when I wake him up. He took my furry blanket and won't give it back. He loves it, and he also knows it is good Max bait - Max can't resist the furry blanket.
Dorie doesn't spend too much time outside by herself, but I have seen her a few times sunning out on the back patio.
Proper Max (the little shaved patch on his arm was from his IV from his dental cleaning)
