Monty's Train Birthday

Monty LOVES trains, so Beth planned a very fun train-themed 3rd birthday party for him!

It started out with a ride on the Heber Valley Railroad. The caboose was reserved for the party.

It was a gorgeous day!

Some musicians came and performed for us. They sang Happy Birthday, as well as some train songs

By the train station they had these funny face cut-outs. We had lots of fun with them, hehe

Sam's glamour shot

We had dinner at the Dairy Keen, which has all kinds of fun train decorations, as well as a model train that runs on a track by the ceiling. They have yummy burgers, shakes, and salads.

For a quarter, you could make this tiny Hogwarts Express run along its track
It was a super fun birthday!

Girls' Spring Orchestra Concerts

The girls had their Spring Orchestra concerts on May 19

The Junior High concert was first - Evelyn is in the Advanced Orchestra

Prometheus

Music from Ratatouille

The Greatest Showman Medley

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

It is hard to see the violists while the orchestra is performing, but here is Ev when they stood up at the end

Next was the High School concert

Jupiter

Keystone

Rhapsody in Blue - Nora's friend, Justin, played the piano solo part for this, and he did an amazing job!

The Empire Strikes Back Medley

Bacchanale

Both concerts were great!

Mother's Day

We had a fun Mother's Day!

Mike got me some Lehi Bakery doughnuts, and these cute flowers

Me with my not-so-little babies

We went to visit Marolynn, and then she came up to SLC with us for dinner

Kate was watching Luci for the weekend, so we got to hang out with this cute little fluff ball

We had a Mexican inspired menu for dinner - with chips and salsa, fruit salad, green salad, enchiladas and Mexican coke.

Grandpop made a yummy tres leches cake for dessert

Tulip Festival

We visited the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point at the beginning of May. It is one of my favorite spring-time activities. (Sam wasn't feeling very well that day, so he stayed at home).

There were a couple of animatronic dinosaurs out to advertise their special event for summer, "Escape to Dinosaur Island", where they will have many more animatronic dinosaurs come to the gardens.

This was a fun backdrop covered in artificial roses

The tulips inside the Secret Garden were especially gorgeous
