Say cheese! Look at me! Hey - no running away!

Today I was looking at the picture at the top of our blog, and realizing how old it is...I mean, Evie is a little baby, and of course Sam is not in it, so I decided that I would take a picture of all 3 kids together. Easier said than done. Evie would not sit still for more than a few seconds, so I had to work fast. When I was about to go crazy, Mike got home from work and helped get the kids to look at me and smile. Yay! I thought we got some pretty cute ones in there.

Getting off to a goofy start...

Nora wanted to hold Sam's hand
In some of the pictures that didn't turn out as well, there would be one child that would look really cute, so I did some cropping.

Next we tried sitting in the rocker

I really love this one! It is the new picture at the top of the blog, but I thought I would post it here too, for those that use Google Reader, and such.
I love my cute kiddos!

1 Month Old!

Little Sam is a month old today! He is doing very well, and is such a sweet little guy. He is sleeping pretty well at night - he wakes up a few times to eat, but then goes back to sleep.

Sleeping in mommy's arms

I think he looks a lot like me when I was a baby in this picture

He made a really cute smile, and I almost got a picture of it but he waved his hand in front of his mouth. You can still kind of see it behind the hand-blur. Hehe.
Cute little dude!
Napping in the swing

All ready for bed! He loves his swaddle blankets.

Happy Father's Day!

Today for Father's Day, Nora helped me make a special treat for Mike. Since we had lots of fresh, yummy berries from our trip to Costco yesterday, we decided to make a fruit pizza. Fruit pizza is basically a giant sugar cookie, with cream cheese frosting spread over it, and fruit placed on top. Nora helped sample the frosting to make sure it was good, and also helped put the blueberries on the pizza. Nora also drew a very nice picture for Daddy. She said it was of a balloon, a frog, Harold, and an oval.

Here is a picture of Mike with all 3 kids!
Happy Father's Day to a great dad!

Kiddo Videos

I've been trying to get these videos uploaded for a while, and I think it finally worked. Woo hoo!

Little Sam being cute:

We were watching "Invictus" one of the nights at my parents' house, when Evie sneaked out of bed. This is a video of her dancing to the music during the credits. She had been spinning around for a while already before we started taking the video!

This is Nora singing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" with a bit of "ABC" mixed in, song-that-never-ends style...

Three Kids!

I am still getting used to the idea that we now are the parents of 3 kids, but it is great. We stayed with my parents again for two weeks after the baby was born to get some help with the kids, and give me some time to recover. I really appreciated the help, and the kids had a lot of fun. They also enjoyed visits from Aunt Kate, and talking to Beth and Reece on Skype.

Nora helping with some planting
Nora enjoyed playing butterfly. Here she is in her "cocoon".
The butterfly emerges
and is ready to fly around the room!
Nora wanted Evie to sit next to her for lunch, so she pulled over Evie's highchair
Evie and Grandpop watching Cinderella. Evie really likes to have someone watch movies with her. She kept making cute little comments about what was happening in the movie.
Tickles!
Both girls had fun with the dress ups!
One of Evie's very favorite activities is making towers. She will build them, knock them down, and laugh like crazy. She can get them pretty high!

"helping" in the garden
Sweet little Sam is doing well. He loves being held, and still sleeps a lot. The girls, for the most part, have been very loving to him. Nora is a good helper, and likes to get blankets and diapers for him, and pick out what outfit he should wear. Evie calls him Baby, and gives him kisses on the head.

Stretching in his sleep
Cute sleepy baby
He likes to look around. I wonder what he thinks of life so far.
Ready for an outing

Awww, he just melts my heart.

We moved back to our house on Monday evening. On Tuesday morning, Sam got his first bath in the baby tub. He also had his two week check-up with the pediatrician. He is very healthy and doing great! He was also 13 ounces above his birth weight!

Evie's Midnight Adventures

For some reason, while we were staying at my parents' house for two weeks after Sam was born, Evie would wake up in the middle of the night, and go exploring around the house, often several times a night. We would catch her crawling around trying to be sneaky, although it would always give her away when she would carry around her favorite toy music box and we would hear "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". She emptied drawers, put towels in the toilet and pulled all the baby wipes out of their container. There must be something extra exciting about Grammy and Grandpop's house, because she hasn't done it since we've been home (knock on wood).

Redecorating the Nursery

We did a little redecorating in the nursery so it would have a more boyish look:

We got this little name painting in Disneyland. The letters are a pirate ship, Peter Pan, a prince and a castle, a dragon, a pirate and Aladdin.
Sadie approves of the new little human - at least until he learns how to pull fur.
Sweet little boy (yes, I picked out this outfit - hehe)
