I just went and checked on Nora after I noticed that her bedroom light was still on. This is what I found:

Other April Activities
Hopefully everyone is not too tired of seeing flower pictures - because here are some more!
I love it when our pear trees bloom. They are so pretty
Evie loves playing outside! (Nora does too, but I couldn't get her to come be in a picture)
With the mountains in the background
We took another trip to the Thanksgiving Point gardens, and I was just intending it to be a short visit to get out of the house, but Nora had other ideas. She wanted to see everything!
Wow, it is tough to keep up with Nora!
Nora was very cooperative and posed for this picture. Later that day I was showing it to Mike and telling him I thought it was so cute. He looked at it and said, "Why does that paper say fresh meat on the back?" Doh. I guess it was the advertisement on the back of the program.
There are a lot of tulips in bloom now!
Feeding the Koi - one of Nora's favorite activities in the world
It had warmed up a lot since we were here last, so the Koi were a lot more active, and excited to be fed, which Nora was happy about
Nora insisted that we "Go up there!"
This is how Evie felt by the end of the trip (Mommy felt that way too, but I don't think anyone would have pushed her around in the stroller). When we got home, Nora was so tired and fell right asleep for her nap. Woo hoo!!!

Children's Health Fair
When I took Evie in for her one-year check up, the pediatrician's office had a poster up for the Children's Health Fair in Provo. The theme was "Never, Never Forget Your Shots" with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell. Nora loves Peter Pan and Tinker Bell, so we went to check it out. Outside the building, they had a fire engine and firefighters to explain how they work.
Wow, those are big tires!
I tried to get Nora and Evie to pose by the poster on the way in, but they were pretty excited about all the activities they could see inside. They gave each child a treasure map, and around the room they had different tables set up with information and activities. At each table, they would stamp your map when you came by, and when your map was all full of stamps, you could get a prize from the treasure chest.
At this table, we learned about washing our hands. Nora put on some special lotion, and when she put her hand in that box, it made the germs glow.
At this table we learned about preventing mosquito bites. I thought Nora would be scared of those cases with bugs, but she stepped right up and took a good look. Boy, some of those things were huge!
This table was about poisons, and how sometimes poisonous things can look like things kids like to eat and drink. We got a poison center magnet to put on the fridge. Nora calls it the pirate one because it has a skull and crossbones on it.
Nora was very excited to pick a prize from the treasure chest. She took a long, long time trying to decide what she wanted.

Spring in Bloom
Oh man, I am feeling a little sad looking out the window at the snowy weather we've gotten today. I'm glad it's spring, and it won't last too long. On Monday we visited the Thanksgiving Point gardens for the first time this spring, and had a great time. The tulips were just starting to come out, but the daffodils, pansies and hyacinths were at their peak. It was a beautiful day! Hopefully we'll get another nice day soon so we can go back.
