Bread Day

On Monday the 23rd, we had our annual Johns Bread Day

The giant batches of dough Dad made

The kids love punching down the dough

Each of the kids got a piece of Greek bread dough to made into any shape that they wanted

James and Thomas made a platypus

Sam made a little dough version of himself

Evie made Baby Yoda wearing a Santa hat

Nora made a little kitty face

V wanted to make a rainbow reindeer, and Beth helped her

Next, the adults made the cinnamon rolls

Doing the clove-orange craft. They smell so good

Rosetta Dinner

For the Sunday dinner before Christmas, we had a special themed dinner to get to learn more about my Grandma Rosetta, my Mom's mother. She died before we (Karin, me, Beth, and Kate) were born.

Some family photos

The table was decorated with things that she liked

Hummel Figurines, felt and sequin ornaments

Royal Doulton figurines

Little dolls from other countries

Rosetta's special dishes

My mom made a 50's inspired dinner, with things similar to what her mother would make

After dinner, my mom passed around a box of cards that she had made and we each took one. Each card had a fact about Rosetta on one side, and a picture on the other. We went around the table and shared what was on our card

Some needle work my Grandma had done

My grandma was allergic to chocolate, so one of her favorite treats was a caramel pecan log

My Grandma's creche

For dessert, Dad made a yummy cake, and we decorated it to be"Jesus' birthday cake"

It took a while to light all those candles!

These 3 blew out the candles

Looking at some of the memes in John's collection after dessert - hehe
