Here are a few more pictures from November:
Oliver is Ev's #1 fan and is always trying to hang out with her
Nora told Mike and I that we really needed to watch "Over the Garden Wall" so we did
There is nothing cuter than a snoozing pup
I got out the white wreath again this year and Oliver immediately sat in it
Unfortunately his enjoyment was short-lived because I actually got around to decorating it and hanging it on the door this year! It shows up against the dark colored door better than our other wreath did.
Juno spying out of the bathroom window shutters
Ev and I were playing Sporcle on the computer and Oliver wanted to join in too (and also eat our snacks)
Since it was close to my birthday, Ev agreed to watch "Boom Boom Sabotage" with me. It is an animated movie from 2006 starring Tony Hawk, the skateboarder. We had seen some clips from it before, and it looked so funny and weird. I am pleased to say it lived up to our expectations and was just as bonkers as we were hoping it would be! Hahaha
Celebrating my birthday at Sunday dinner
Ev passed her driving test and was able to get her driver's license! Woo hoo!
One day I went to go put on my coat to go somewhere, and found out it had already been claimed...
I thought the fall leaves were so pretty outside, and the kids humored me and posed for some pictures
Lil munchies
I wanted to get the Christmas decorations up before my surgery, since I knew I wouldn't be able to help afterward. A lot of the lights on the tree were no longer working, so Mike undertook the big project of removing the old strands of lights, and putting on new ones.
The end result of his hard work! The tree looks amazing
They are LED lights that you can control with an app on your phone. They can do all kinds of colors and patterns. This is a video of us trying out some of the modes that people have made.
To celebrate my birthday with Mike and the kids, we got dinner at Cravings Bistro
For the activities we played some Unrailed...
and decorated the Christmas tree
I forgot what was going on here, but it looks fun 😂
Ta-Da! The finished tree
Little One always looks so striking on the red couch
I wonder what is going on in Max's brain
Dorie having fun hanging out
Sam and I trying out some silly filters
Mike and Nora were able to go see Beauty and the Beast at Hale Theater with my family. I was so sad I couldn't go! They went to the themed dinner, and then to the show. They said it was probably the best production that Hale has ever done, which is really saying something!
The themed dinner -
Oliver being his strange little self
Here he is blocking my way while I'm trying to head to bed, and is begging for treats. Oh boy.
A sleeping Charlie - she looks like a cute little snowball
Nora wearing her hoodie backwards so Charlie can hang out in the hood
The rats practicing their trick of going through the tube on command
Hmmm, something didn't go as planned lol
Hammock buddies
I tried out an interesting recipe that I heard about on one of the YouTube channels I follow. It is called vinegar pie, and is an old recipe from when it was a lot harder to get certain ingredients. It has a small amount of apple cider vinegar in the filling, in addition to butter, flour, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract. We used a gluten-free crust and gluten-free flour so Ev could also try it
Everyone was nervous that it would be gross, but it was actually pretty good!
