Fall Drive

On Oct. 9 we did a drive of the Alpine Loop to see the fall leaves. Since it has been such a dry year, we weren't sure if we'd see much, but were pleasantly surprised! I think there were better colors this year than there have been for quite a while. Mike, Ev, Dorie, and I went.

Driving to the canyon

Seeing some spots of color

It was a gorgeous, sunny day!

We saw some deer run across the road, luckily they made it across safely

Getting up into aspen country

We had the front windows down, and the moonroof open

Dorie was so excited to go on a long drive! We did see some other dogs, which was the highlight for her, lol

Heading back down the other side

Bridal Veil Falls

This patch on the mountain is so vibrant, even from a distance!

September Misc.

Here are a few more pictures from our September activities:

One of Mike's packages came in this box, and it was deemed a "very excellent box" by the cats. They all spent some time hanging out in it.

Cloudy day walk

Juno loves to climb, and we sometimes find her in places we weren't expecting - like the top of the bathroom cabinet, or on top of the fridge

Playing some more of the game "Stray."

Juno is very intrigued by this game - here she is getting a close up look at the TV

Oliver gets very excited when we pull out the treat jar

Mike and I got some new desk chairs for the office. Sam was delighted by the large boxes they came in, and built a box fort. He is constantly working on it and changing it up. Here is Juno checking it out.

Juno used to stay in Ev's room at night for a while, but after a few nights of being too noisy and crazy, she got banned from being in there. I caught her one night trying so hard to be let back in (don't worry, she gets to sleep in the master bedroom now)

There is a D&D group at Sam's school that meets together on Thursdays that Sam has joined. We went to this game store to buy him his first set of dice!

The school orchestras had an opening social activity at Classic Skating

Nora got her ears pierced!

We went to see The Unsinkable Molly Brown at Hale Theatre

Juno watching some TV with us - she is obsessed with this soft blue blanket

V, Nora, and Ev helping Grammy with a service project

Monty asked me if I could help him draw a Christmas train. We browsed some inspiration photos online, and he found a picture of a Christmas train snow globe that he loved, so our train drawing had several snow globes added to it.

The giant Max

Oliver exploring Sam's box fort

For doing a year subscription, we got sent a special box from Japan Crate with lots and lots of goodies inside! This lasted us quite a while

I had seen on Facebook that the Stranger Things season 4 bloopers video had come out. I called out to the family to see if anyone wanted to watch it with me, and Juno immediately ran in the room and lounged on a chair that was in front of the TV. She did stay there and watch all the bloopers. Hehehe

Sam added a window that can be opened with a piece of string

A couple of cool cats

Ev passed off two hard songs at her music lesson, so we got a treat at Avenue Bakery to celebrate! They have some really yummy GF stuff there.

Juno cuddling with Mike - he is her favorite 💕

One day I was in the car with Nora while she was driving, and when we passed our house I had to do a double take at the front porch

A certain little black cat had snuck out and was posing right next to our cat statue

We took her back in the house

Nora was trying to study when Juno came and plopped down on her textbook. Nora and Dorie look so annoyed, hehe

V and Monty came over to play one night.

Monty loved the box fort!
