For her 5th birthday, Evie wanted a Mario party. She has fun (well, sometimes fun and sometimes screaming frustration) playing Mario Kart and Super Mario Brothers on the Wii. Her favorite character is Princess Peach, so she dressed up like her, and Sam dressed up like Mario, and Nora wanted to dress up like Toad. I wasn't quite sure how to make a Toad hat, but when Googling it, someone suggested using white shower caps. Genius! Carrie was out here visiting, and was able to come to the party too, which was really fun.
I got found some cute printable drink and food labels on Pinterest. We customized the food labels a little bit.
Almost all the peach rings were gone by the time I got around to taking this picture, hehe
Reece is holding up a chocolate mustache, but it kind of blends in with his real mustache!
I couldn't believe how long Sam kept his little mustache on! I thought that think would be gone after a couple of minutes.
Evie's chocolate mustache was in various stages of being eaten in these pictures
Beth made this really cute backdrop! It was so fun for pictures!
Kate brought her own Mario hat, so we were able to get a picture with double Marios!
Family picture, Mario style
Opening gifts
Cake and singing time
Evie and her Peach cupcake
Next we took turns playing some Mario Kart - playing with the kids is always an interesting (and LOUD) experience!
And ended with a Mario memory game
A proud Sam with one of his matches - he is really good at memory!
The next day, we had some of Evie's cute little friends over for games and cupcakes
The chocolate mustache picture - after the picture, we had to make a little trip to the bathroom to wash the chocolate off of everyone's noses! Hehe.
Happy 5th birthday, Ev!
