August Misc.

Ev and I have been trying to train Oliver to sit and stay nicely to get his treats. It hasn't been very easy training him, but he looks really cute when he actually does it

Nora took this picture when I was driving and Dorie looks so scared. I think she was just holding on for when we were turning a corner - at least I hope that is what was happening 😳

We got tickets months and months ago to see Beetlejuice the Musical when it came to Salt Lake because it is Mike's favorite musical. Unfortunately with the timing of his surgery and recovery he wasn't able to go, but the rest of us did and had a fun time.

When I fell asleep one afternoon

Nora and I got to go visit Kate's new cat, Felix. She found him injured and she helped him, but he was never claimed so she decided to keep him. He is a very sweet orange tabby.

TV time

I was walking past the basement bathroom and thought I noticed something strange out of the corner of my eye. It turned out to be Oliver in the bathtub. Ev says he likes to hang out in there sometimes. Maybe it is cool in the summer?

We celebrated Mike's birthday! He picked JcW's for dinner, and Cravings cupcakes for the treat

For the activity, we watched some Jury Duty

Karin, Ben, Thomas and James were in town for a little bit. I met up with them, and my Mom and Kate and we went to dinner at R&R BBQ, then went to see the chalk art festival that was going on at the Riverwoods in Provo.

Such amazing talent! We loved the variety of subjects and styles in the art

We also stopped in a store called Moon's Rare Books. It is part shop, and part museum. The man who started the store has an amazing collection of rare books, objects, and memorabilia that he has on display.
