Finally making some progress

Woo hoo, we are finally seeing some nice progress on the basement. They put in the kitchen cabinets. They look really really nice. I'm happy with our selections. They also finished putting in the radient heating. Just a few more things and it should be close to being done.

Another tooth

About a week after we found the first tooth coming through, a second one started poking out in the same place on the other side. I tried to take a picture, and this is the best one that I got. You can see the first tooth a little bit on her left side.

Let the flooring begin

Well, I figured I better post an update on the basement, since I haven't done one for a little while. (Mostly because they haven't done too much.) So they put in the wood laminate floor where our kitchen will be on the back of the room. I think it looks very slick. They did an excellent job installing it. On the right wall near the bottom you can see the radient heating duct (we're still not sure if that was the right thing to do, I sure hope it heats the room very well). They also installed the ducts in the two bedrooms. I hope they clean them up a bit, they don't look very child friendly at the moment : /

The cabinets for our kitchen arrived. We looked at the front of them a little bit and I think they look great. I hope they don't blend in with the flooring that we chose too much.

We're vast approaching the second completion date that they gave us (Jan 14). But, given that they still need to repaint the hallway and bedrooms, finish putting the molding on the walls, install all the carpet, finish the radient heating, and install my currently non-existent surround sound speaker connections (grrrrr, we only asked them about it 10+ times before they put up the drywall). We're not holding our breath for them to finish on time.

Nora's first Tooth!

A couple of days ago Nora was being a little grumpy, and she bit my finger and I felt a little something sharp. I looked in her mouth, and sure enough her first little tooth is starting to come in. I guess we are in for some interesting times with the teething period!

Happy New Year!

Happy 2007!

Christmas with the Johns

Before we left for Albuquerque, we had cookie making day.
We celebrated Christmas with the Johns on Dec. 27 (our 3rd wedding anniversary!).

Nora had a lot of fun with her cousins!

Christmas with the Griffins

We flew down to Albuquerque for Christmas this year. We had a lot of fun there.
We helped decorate some cookies to take to the neighbors. Here we are playing a game of Eurorails. We also played some DDR.
Nora had fun ripping the wrapping paper - we just had to make sure she didn't put it in her mouth!
This is a blanket that Marolynn made for us.

We had a great time!

Bleh

It's been quite a while since we posted on this blog. Now that the holidays are over, we should be back into the full swing of things... Well, we were pretty much back but then I got sick Yesterday. It's such a great way to spend all of New Year's day throwing up constantly :(. I think I'm almost over it. Today I have a lot of aches and pain, but a little Tylenol helps with that. We'll be posting more about our holiday festivities in the coming days.
