We had a little birthday party for Evie on Saturday. It was during spring break, so several friends were gone on vacation, but we still had a nice little group. She wanted a Frozen themed party.
We made some tissue paper snowflakes to put on the sliding door. The colorful ones looked pretty cool. I'll have to make more of those next time.
We hung some of Mom's snowflake ornaments from the chandelier
We started the party by decorating some snowflake picture frame ornaments with jewel stickers
Then we played "pin the nose on Olaf". I must not be very good at covering their eyes, because a surprising number of kids just "happened" to put the carrot in the exact right place! Hehehe.
Next we played the "make a snowman" game, where they got in teams of two, and one would wrap the other in toilet paper and decorate them like a snowman. Then they would switch. Nora was my demo snowman when I was showing them how it worked
Our first batch of snowmen!
Breaking out of the TP!
Our second batch of cute snowmen
Next we played "Don't Eat Pete" with a board I had made with the Frozen characters.
Ohhhh! The suspense!
After the games, each child got to decorate their own cupcake. We had blue and white frosting, mini marshmallows, blue sprinkles, and blue glitter gel.
Singing to the birthday girl
Next, we went outside to play and blow bubbles while listening to the Frozen soundtrack
It was a little windy, so the kids discovered they could dip the wand in the bubble solution, and just hold it out in the air, and the wind would make a big stream of bubbles!
Opening a present
We finished up with some coloring pages
