Thanksgiving

We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner at my parents' house.

Marolynn was able to come too, which was fun

After dinner, there was a group that went to go see the movie "Wreck it Ralph". They took Evie and Sam with them, and they all loved the movie. After they got back, we did some crafts that I had left over from Nora's school party.

Nora's Class Thanksgiving Party

Nora's little first grade class is so cute. We had a lot of fun at the Thanksgiving party. Beth was really awesome, and came to help since we were having trouble finding enough parent volunteers.

This was the treat station - they made little treat turkeys

This was the station that Beth and I helped with. Each child got a little kit with 10 orange paper strips that said "I am thankful for____" and they would write things they were thankful for on them. When they were all done, we put them together into a little pumpkin shape. Some of the kids had an easy time coming up with ideas, but some needed a bit of help.

This was the other craft station - they made little turkeys out of a gourd with foam pieces to stick on

The game was "Thankful Potato" - like hot potato, except the person who had the potato when the music ended would say something they were thankful for

At the end of the party, they all put their little crafts in their cubbies, and I thought they looked so cute.

Turning 31

My sisters threw a girls day out for me, and it was so fun. We had a yummy brunch at Beth's house, then did make-overs while watching Labrynth.

Pumpkin spice hot chocolate

Apple, sweet potato and sausage hash and cinnamon rolls.

Beth and Kate are very talented when it comes to doing makeup and hair

It was so fun to play with Beth's little kitty, Dinah. She is really sweet and will even let you hold her like a baby.

We went boot shopping, picked up Thai takeout for dinner, and went to Kitch's house. Beth brought Dinah over to have a playdate with Louis, Kate's cat.

While we were there, Kate tried to get Louis to play a game made for cats on the iPhone. He wasn't too impressed. Hehe.

We also had a Sunday dinner celebration with a beautiful Backer's cake

Mad T Party

On our last night before going back to the hotel, we went and checked out the "Mad T Party" in California Adventure. It is a weekend dance party that replaced ElecTRONica.

All of the theming was really fun

The DJ had rabbit ears

Giant house of cards

A flamingo riding stilts man

Sam and Evie had a blast. They got out of the stroller and danced to the music. Nora was not a fan.

The band was dressed up as different characters from the book

They had little sitting areas with giant plastic chairs and huge lamps

Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum
It was a fun way to end the trip
