Here are a few more pictures from January:
Work continued on the gingerbread playhouse
When it was all done, it got moved to the front hall for display. There are lots of hearts on it, so it is also a perfect decoration for Valentine's Day
Juno checking out the shower - she is strangely fascinated by it
We did a D&D session before Nora went back to USU. It was quite an adventure, the highlights being the "moon" stone, and our bard (Ev) playing Yankee Doodle on her recorder
Finishing up the Fisherman's Tale 2
Oliver is still chillin' with his new scratcher
Dorie and her BFF Nora
Charlie peeking out from their brown paper nest
I made a new wreath for our door to use in January. It feels a little like false advertising because we haven't had snow on the ground for most of the month.
I thought the reflection in this puddle on our walk looked cool
Mike built new computers for Sam and Ev, and Sam and Ev helped out with some of it
One day I found the rats fast asleep curled up in little balls in their foraging box
When they heard me taking a picture of them...
They enjoyed trying out some unsweetened applesauce
The moon was super bright and looked cool with the snow dusted mountains on our drive up to Sunday dinner one week
My mom's January tablescape was inspired by a set Russian fairytale plates. During dinner we learned about the story behind some of them
My mom found this cute card that Nora had made for her many years ago
Dorie's little nap blep
We got Dorie's report card for her boarding stay over Thanksgiving break. She is very shy when she doesn't have her people with her.
Dorie LOVES the purple blanket so much
Sleeping with crossed paws
Juno in some of her favorite places:
Enjoying a sunny afternoon in the window
Snoozing in Mike's sock drawer
Hanging out on Mike's computer
Some pictures of Charlie exploring
The rats are obsessed with Mike
Max being very annoyed that we were Facetiming with Nora instead of preparing his dinner
Little one in hunting mode
Mike and I took down all the Christmas decorations, and put up the Valentines decor
Mike put together some new light modes with the new tree lights that feature Valentine colors
Sunset walk
Dorie sleeping with tangled up legs
Coco is very curious about this skeleton
The ratties with their MamaTop-down view of Oll-z
I caught Juno peeking into Mike's bathroom cabinet
When she realized I was watching her
We started out the Family book club with "The Power of Vulnerability" by Brene Brown. It is not actually a book, but a recording of a lecture series. There were a lot of interesting things to discuss.
Oliver has started hanging out on Sam's new computer
The tablescape for Valentine's
The chandelier decorations
Coco exploring during free-roam time
Mike and I finally saw the new Wicked movie! We really liked it and are looking forward to part 2.
