4th of July

We were leaving on July 5th for our France trip, so we had a pared down 4th of July celebration, but we still had a lot of fun!

They have come out with some Star Wars oreos - when you open the package you find out if you got dark side oreos with red creme, or light side oreos with blue creme. We figured that both red and blue are 4th of July colors, so either way would work. lol

Once people started setting off fireworks, we made sure that the dogs stayed inside. Here you can see them peeking out the side windows

We had one cooler with drinks, and one with popsicles and ice cream sandwiches

The kids had fun throwing down the pop-its

Checking out the fireworks selection - Ev and Sam set off the fireworks for us this year, and they did a good job of following safety protocols and soaking the used fireworks in the water bucket

Grammy stayed inside and kept the cute doggos company

Watching the fireworks - we set off some small ones, and other people were setting off some big aerials at the park

Time for sparklers

Sam pretending to be a magician

Happy pups - they did really well all things considered!

June Misc.

Here are a few more pictures of what we did in June:

Fritz had a sleepover at our house

Working on the magnets for the cruise stateroom doors at Sunday dinner

Since we were in Logan on Nora's actual birthday, we celebrated a couple of days later. She picked sushi for the dinner

For the activity, we played a VR game

The reason my bathtub always has black fur in it

For the family book club this month, we discussed The Highly Sensitive Person

Playing their own variation of Settlers

Oliver found my just-folded laundry

Little One looking out over her kingdom

Brownie baking

I was going through some old pictures, and couldn't stop laughing at this one. Poor Dorie

The cats always make packing extra interesting

We went to go see Inside Out 2 in the theater.
Here the kids are posing like the emotions in the poster - Nora is fear, Sam is Disgust, and Ev is Joy, lol

As a mother of 3 teenagers, and someone who has dealt with a lot of anxiety, I found this movie very relatable

Oh man, don't pet the tummy

Some adorable pictures of the ratlings

I left my phone unattended again...

Nora was able to register to vote!

Such a cute, happy girl!

Awww, Yoda ears

Nora, Mike, and I went up to the Aggie and Parent Orientation at Utah State, and were able to learn how everything works for the coming school year

Getting some Aggie ice cream

Nora and I had a movie night with the rats to watch Ratatouille (Dorie and the cats were secured in other rooms to make it safe for them). Charlie cuddled with Nora for most of it, but Coco was very energetic

I'm still waiting for them to cook me a gourmet meal

Juno snoozing in the cat tree

Sleepy babies - what the rats look like if you visit them in the middle of the day

I've been trying to get Juno and Oliver more comfortable being around each other, so we've been having group snack time. If they get snacks they will tolerate being around each other, so it's a start.

Nora, Dorie, and I watched the Les Miserables movie

During a loud, scary part

We watched Kate's cats for a few days

Picking raspberries - we have been getting lots of raspberries this year!
