Baby Animal Festival

Beth told us about the Baby Animal Festival going on at the Cross E Ranch in North Salt Lake, and said that the kids would love it. We went the Monday after Easter, and it was awesome!

Petting the baby goats

Nora's shirt must have looked delicious to them because they kept trying to eat it!

Water pump rubber duck racing

The kids absolutely loved holding the baby chicks and ducklings. The lady that was there to help from the ranch was so nice to the kids. She told them that they were duck and chick whisperers, and they were so proud. Haha.

I loved them, too!

I could not get over the ducklings' tiny little webbed feet, and itty bitty wings!

Next, we were able to go hold some baby bunnies

The girls pet a horse

We went to go see the puppies in the barn. They are purebred vizslas.

Sam was a little freaked out by how wrinkly they were, but they were adorable.

Also in the barn were the sensory stations. The kids loved playing in this one that was a big sandbox full of beans

We went on the hayride

On the hayride, we were able to go out in the pasture and see the cows grazing there. There were lots of baby cows!

We also stopped by the pen that had several baby cows in it

The kids were able to get out some of their excess energy on the jump pad

The kids thought these photo opps were pretty funny

Sam will make a nice face for a picture...

if I promise to let him do a silly one after

Sam and I got some doughnuts from the doughnut stand as we were leaving
The kids keep asking when we can go back!

Easter

The girls begged to be in charge of filling the Easter eggs this year, and were hard at work on Saturday night.

I noticed that there was a little "helper" under the table, probably hoping for some dropped jelly beans

The kids all dressed up on Easter morning

We had an Easter dinner at our house after church. Marolynn, Reece and V were able to join us! (Beth had a big test the next day she had to study for)

Cute kids! (and pup)

We had the egg hunt out in the backyard

That's not your basket, Dorie!

Dinner time

Vienne found this castle in the playroom and had a good time playing with it

We had this lovely cake (thanks, Costco!), and Creamies for dessert
